Job Overview

As an Operations Manager, you will be in charge of ensuring safe and continuous 24/7 operational support for our shipments in compliance with national and international regulations and standards. You will communicate and coordinate with our customers, agents, airlines, port administrations, customs authorities and others to operationally handle import, export and transit shipments at airports and other logistics facilities. It is a hands-on job that requires a proactive approach and your full attention.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute our customers’ shipments by all modes of transport

• Provide full operational support and control over cargo movement, from A to Z

• Coordinate with airlines, agents and other carriers

• Track and monitor cargo movement and provide status updates to customers

• Issue shipping documents (CI, PL, AWB, CMR, etc) and other documentation

• Work with ports, warehouses, agents and others in the supply chain to minimize overhead

• Coordinate with government agencies to obtain relevant certificates, licenses other permits

• Work with Company management to optimize and automate operational processes

Qualifications

• Strong verbal & written communication skills

• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

• Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate

• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment

• Proficient with Google Workspace or equivalent software

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Previous work experience in freight forwarding, airlines or related area is welcome

• Good working knowledge of English is mandatory

Working Conditions

Cargo operations management is a round-the-clock job. If you want to work in this field you must be open to shifting schedules and long hours if necessary. You will be working in our office and frequently visiting airports, railway terminals, warehouse facilities, etc.
